Custom Home Builds

Ground-up homes with one-of-a-kind plans. Architecture coordination, permits, and the build, all under one roof.

A custom home is the most personal project we build. Every choice, from the lot orientation to the door hardware, is yours. Our job is to make those choices easier: present real options, build accurate budgets, manage the architect and engineer relationships, and run the construction so the house comes in on schedule and on budget.

ORO has built custom residential across DFW with a design language we describe as modern elegance with classic elements: clean lines, durable materials, thoughtful proportions. But we do not force a style on you. We build the home you want, not the home we want to publish.

FAQ

Common Questions

Do you have your own architect, or do I need to bring one?

Both work. ORO has architects we work with regularly and can introduce you. If you already have one, we work with them. The important thing is that the architect, the builder, and the client are all aligned before construction starts.

How long does a custom build take?

From the first design meeting to your keys, expect 12 to 18 months for a typical custom home. Complex sites, very large homes, or extensive HOA / historic-district review can extend that. We give you a written schedule before construction begins.

What does a custom home cost in DFW?

Custom homes in DFW vary enormously based on size, lot, finish level, and neighborhood. A clear conversation about target square footage and finish level early on lets us give you an honest range. After design we provide a line-item estimate so you can make decisions with real numbers.

Do you build in Highland Park / University Park?

Yes. We have experience with the Park Cities design review boards, height restrictions, and material requirements. We coordinate ARC submittals as part of pre-construction.
